Princess 2 year old birthday celebration....

recevied a shocking news yesterday...

one of our shop manager has brain tumour... and she is younger than me... Sad...

visited her @ SGH last night wif colleague. she tears a lil' wen she sees us. she's undergoing the op today morning. Guess she is in the operating theatre while i blog now.

ok, quick update abt me:
me now at new office, bz bz bz bz...
lil' princess kept me bz bz bz bz....
maid went home leave for 2 weeks, cmg back 10 june...
i need rebonding...
i want to cut lil' princess's fringe but she cried at the salon, in the end maid cut hair (cos already paid, no choice)...

Princess is coming to 2 yrs old... Time pass super fast man...

She can now speak short sentance :
i want to go swimming,
i want mum mum,
i want biscuit etc...
We can have short conversation wif her & most of e time she can understand... Now i have a wonderful helper to help pass me the tv remote controller... Amazing...

long time since I last post updates.

I have changed my job. Now working with japanese bosses. Feedback I heard from ppl around me is that jap bosses are very demanding & hardworking & they expect their worker to be the same.

Been in the new co for abt 2 weeks now, so far still ok, still surviving. In the co, there's only my 2 jap bosses (husband & wife) + a colleague + ME. Small office but BIG business. We operate the Takopachi & Tori-Q outlets, total 11 outlets. One more new outlet cmg up @ Jurong. We are the HQ of all these outlets.

2008 Resolution No. 1 : to be able to stay in this co for looooong, rather tired of changing jobs now.


Had bbq session @ changi beach on x'mas eve with few sec school friend. Plenty of fun. One of my friend brought her daughter along. She is only 16 days younger den Princess but the development gap is so huge. She is able to make the sound of cat, dog, elephants, mummy (snoring sound) & she can sing ABC!! Amazing! My friend said her ger learnt all these from watching Barney & Hi-5. So, who says seeing too much TV is no good??!!

Had bbq session (yes, again) @ Trina/Rudy's house on 29 Dec with all the ex-colleagues. Ironically, I am the ex-colleague of Trina & Rudy. Had many catching up too. Saw so many of them losing weight but me, kept putting on weight. Don't know why I am not a big eater but weight doesn't go down. So sad.

2008 Resolution No 3 : to lose weight.

I have been@ DXO for coming to 3 weeks... I m here to relief Liyun when she goes on maternity leave for 12 weeks.

Recently attended my cousin's wedding @ Orchid Country Club. It is buffet style dinner. My 1st time attending buffet-style wedding dinner. The pictures are well taken. They even have a mini cartoon of how they met till married. Nicely done. Groom even gave the bride a surpise by singing a self-wrote song (Note, he's not really a good singer, but at least he is brave enough to sing in front of so many ppl!). So romantic!! Shall upload the pics once i received.

suddenly, my world seems to turn dark. my tears tap was turn on auto, can't turned off.

as i was reading the entries, i felt painful, physically & mentally. puting myself in their shoes, i don't think i can brace myself to let go & live life.

life is so ironic.

i wish to thanks the angel, the buddha, the lord for blessing me with a healthy growing child (note, i m not a religious person).

For the past 20+ yrs, 八月十五has been just an ordinary day. But for this year, I wanted it to be special as we have a new family member & I wanted her to celebrate all possible festival. Michelle sugguested going to the Chinese Garden. So we went on last Friday. Fortunately, the garden is not very packed.

Hubby not working on sunday thus I planned for a Zoo outing. Had planned to leave house at 3pm but Princess fell asleep so we wait till she wakes up. At 3.30pm, no sign of her waking up, we woke her up. So bad of us hor :P..... but the sky is getting dark worh....

We reached the Zoo around 4pm. We bought the 'Admission only' tix $16.50 x 3 (hub, me & maid) = $49.50. They also have 'Admission + unlimited ride on tram' $20something & 'Zoo + Night Safari' $30. Ya we opt for the cheapest one.

Stepping in, the 1st animal we saw is the monkeys, hanging on the trees above us. So scared the monkey will decide to pee on us..

The 1st enclosure we came to is 'XXX's'. Wondering what is XXX right! XXX = the name of the animal which I dunno... However, they sure are cute fellows. Initially, all were swimming & running around. Hubby call out to them & one by one they came & lie down infront of us!!

Princess wif the status, not wanting to let go.

gosh, looking back, its been veri long (how long?) since I last blog...

Princess is now 14 mths old. Getting more active (& more naughty) & walks like expert.

These days she's very prone to throw temper. Whenever we don't give her things she want, she'll start crying. Am i going to have a 'terrible two' at home (but she's only 14 mth!!)?

She is also rejecting her playpen (which also serves as her bed). She's been sleeping on my bed with me for the past few days. Whenever we carry her back to her bed (after she's asleep), she wakes up & cry, not wanting to go to her bed.

She recognises 'fan', 'light', 'television', 'ger ger' (tat's herself), 'aircon', 'bear' (soft toy & bear print on shirt), 'ball' (although she pronounce as 'bear' too).

When she's tired, she will take her hankie, climb up the bed (yes, she can climb up & down my bed) & lie down to rest.

She can drink from straw, like a pro's pro.

If we are going out, she will bring us her shoes for us to put on for her & keep her shoes when we reach home.

Finally, the long awaited day is here.

My Princess can walk by her own!!! (although not really considered a pro yet).

Whenever we put on her shoes for her, she knows she can get on her feet to roam around. Sometimes she even try to run a step or two. So cute...

Few days ago, Rye let her try walking down a slope. She was like can't catch up with her own step, she was like running down the slope. When she reached the bottom, she kept looking back at the slope as if wondering what was that, why the road so funny??!!

These days Rye been teaching her how to climb up & down our bed. She's really the once-start-cannot-stop kind. Once she got the hang of it, she won't stop climbing!!

We wanted to teach her how to drink from straw, which we are still trying.....

Charlie borrowed $50 from Andy and $50 from Ben.

Charlie then used the $100 to buy something worth $97 and received $3 change.

He then return $1 to Andy and $1 to Ben and kept $1 to himself.

He now owes Andy $49 and Ben $49 but with Andy's $49 and Ben's $49 and his own $1,the total is only $99.

Where did the other $1 go to?

Yup, my dear darling precious Princess had a total of 3 birthday cake this yr.

Had a long weekend last week. Took leave from Monday to Wednesday. What a luxury!!

I booked a room in Costa Sand Resort (the cheapest of course) to celebrate Princess's 1 yr old birthday. We did not make this into an elaborate event as she already had a grand 1-month celebration 11 months ago. This time, I just want the 3 of us to enjoy the moment (also an excuse for me to R&R).

DAY 1 (MONDAY 2/7/07)
However, in e morning, Princess was having slight fever & coughing. This time the cough sounds very different from last time. Took her to the doc. As we made no appointment, we waited for almost 2hrs before its our turn. Doc said this time her cough is slightly more serious as its coming from her chest. It could lead to bronchitis. Thus we must take good care & observer. By then, her fever has subsides. Back home, we gave her medic. Seeing she's feeling ok (sick but still can move around, climb here & there, being talkative), we proceed with our hol.
